Signature Music Studio Policies
REGISTRATION
A non-refundable registration fee of $25.00 will be charged upon initial registration.
TUITION
Signature Music Studio operates year round. For your convenience, tuition is divided into 12 equal payments, due on the first of each month. Personal check, bank check, cash or electronic payment are all accepted at this time. Payments can be made in person at the lesson, or should be mailed (checks only) to: Signature Music Studio, 7613 Lilly Pond Lane, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526. Please contact us for an electronic invoice.
LATE FEES AND CHECK CHARGES
A late fee of $15.00 will be charged for payments not received by the 15th of the month. There are no exceptions to this policy. There is a $25.00 charge for checks returned due to non-sufficient funds (NSF).
MISSED LESSONS
Music lessons require a commitment, and students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons. We understand that occasionally emergencies occur, however please note that we have reserved your lesson time for you, and regardless of notice, we cannot guarantee a make-up if you fail to attend your scheduled lesson. We do guarantee a make-up, at a mutually convenient time, if the instructor cancels the lesson.
COVID-19
In accordance with NC state and Wake County guidelines, masks will no longer be required in the studio. Students should feel free to wear masks if they choose, and should absolutely mask or stay home if they are sick.
TERMINATION OF LESSONS
If termination of lessons is required, please notify the studio in writing two weeks in advance.
VACATION SCHEDULE
Signature Music Studio will be closed for Easter Week, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Break, and Christmas Break. Please check our calendar for specific dates each year. The studio is open year round, and our fees are based on an average of 4 lessons per month.
SNOW OR INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
In case of inclement weather, please check the website (www.signaturemusicstudionc.com) for closure information. Rather than cancel lessons altogether, every effort will be made to offer virtual lessons.
PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
Signature Music Studio typically offers two recitals each year: a holiday recital in mid-December and a spring recital in mid-June. There is a $25.00 registration fee for for participation in the recital, and vocalists pay an additional $30.00 for the accompanist. (This fee includes a rehearsal with the accompanist.) Other performance opportunities include Young Artists, the NCMTA Performance Festival, and the NATS competition.

Signature Music Studio communicates with parents primarily via email. We do not have the ability to send or receive texts. Please be sure that emails from [email protected] are directed to your inbox, and know that you can always leave a message for us at 984-225-1240.
We would very much like to hear from you and discuss any problems or questions you might have regarding your child’s music lessons. In order for a child to learn effectively, the lines of communication between the teacher and the student, or the student’s parents, must be open.
