Jacob Groff received his Bachelor of Music degree in music composition from the University of Oregon and his Master's degree in music composition from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. He has studied with composers Robert Kyr, Jack Boss, and Joel Phillips. He has been teaching piano for over 20 years, believing that lessons should be fun and incorporate all styles of music. He is a member of the North Carolina Music Teachers’ Association and Raleigh Piano Teachers. In 2014, Jacob collaborated with other composers in the Raleigh area and co-founded a composers’ forum called Carolina Contemporary Composers (C3).
