Jacob GroffJacob Groff received his Bachelor of Music degree in music composition from the University of Oregon and his Master's degree in music composition from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. He has studied with composers Robert Kyr, Jack Boss, and Joel Phillips. He has been teaching piano for over 20 years, believing that lessons should be fun and incorporate all styles of music. He is a member of the North Carolina Music Teachers’ Association and Raleigh Piano Teachers. In 2014, Jacob collaborated with other composers in the Raleigh area and co-founded a composers’ forum called Carolina Contemporary Composers (C3). C3 sponsors several concerts each year with the intent of showcasing new works.

Annette StoweAnnette Stowe has performed with opera companies in New York, New Jersey, Oregon and Hawaii and has been a member of the NC Opera Chorus since its inception in 2011. Her orchestral solo work includes performances of Handel's Messiah, Brahms’ A German Requiem, and Schubert's Mass in G Major. Annette sang for several seasons with the North Carolina Master Chorale. In 2014 she began a classical concert series in partnership with The Halle Cultural Arts Center in Apex, NC. She is a member of AGMA and the Actors' Equity Association, as well as the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Annette recently served as the voice chair for the North Carolina Music Teachers Association, and she is a performing member of the Professional Women Singers Association.

William SimkissWhat I offer in teaching is, well, pretty much everything. Twenty-nine instruments so far. Guitar, Piano, Bass Guitar, Strings, Mandolin, Banjo, all Brass instruments, Music Theory, Voice. I teach in all styles - rock, country, jazz, blues, classical, etc. I have decades of teaching experience, and have toured internationally and been a recording studio musician. Currently accepting students on Fridays.

Ashley (13) We found Annette through a friend when we were looking for a vocal teacher for our daughter, and we could not be happier with the lessons. Annette was easy going with parents and great with young students. With her encouragement, Ashley was improving quickly, and got auditioned for the Halle Christmas performance. She later participated in the holiday musicals. It was the best memory of 2019 for the family and will be remembered for many years with a smile. After a year with Annette, Ashley becomes a more confident teenager not only with her voice but also her overall personality. We all just love Annette.

Lily has been taking from Jacob for the past 6 + years and he is such a wonderful and kind teacher. He not only has her play classical pieces but he has also allowed her to play in the past princess songs which keeps her interested even though she does love classical. We just love the Summer and Winter recitals held at Halle Cultural Arts Center in Apex. Not only is it wonderful to hear all the kids play what they have been learning but we are always so excited afterwards for Annette’s homemade goodies of cookies and punch. They are a lovely couple who truly love these kids and are helping to keep piano and singing alive in Fuquay Varina. Thank you Jacob and Annette!
Marty (parent) My daughter has taken voice lessons with Ms. Annette for over six years, from the end of elementary school until high school. She has learned a lot, has grown so much, and has had a lot of fun. When the pandemic hit this year, Ms. Annette switched over to zoom and thankfully she could continue exploring and enjoying her love of singing. Ms. Annette is amazing!
